Project Manager—Chris Tyra Completed 2005 Completed four separate academic wing additions to the existing high school totaling over 20,000 square feet. There was substantial remodeling of the interior. The project was phased and scheduled around school being in progress. A new library, science and math classroom and new boys and girls locker rooms were added to the existing school. The project duration was 4-months.
Freshman Wing:
Pre-engineered metal building and masonry and steel structures constructed adjacent to and connecting to the existing school building, associated utilities and site improvements on 11-1/2 acres to provide improvements and finishes for the new addition. Addition of a freshman center, auditorium, fine arts area, new main corridor, town center, and remodeling of the cafeteria and commons. |

Project Manager—Chris Tyra Completed 2005 $2,800,000 Life Safety and Remodeling of existing High School. Work started June 2, 2003 and finished September 2, 2003 on time for classes to resume. This job included a complete steam to hot water conversion, remodel of 30,000 s.f. of classrooms and administrative space over three floors. $250,000 of asbestos abatement was also completed prior to all remodel work. Mangieri Companies, Inc. has also completed Phase II which is a 30,000 s.f. addition to the high school including a cafeteria and kitchen expansion. |

Project Manager—Chris Tyra Completed 2004 A new 102,000 square foot replacement facility was constructed on 11 acres of land. Three hundred parking spaces, a new gymnasium and kitchen to serve two other existing schools. A library, commons and locker facilities are included in the project. Construction schedule was 18 months. |

Project Manager—Dan O’Connell Completed 2004 New 30,000 s.f. addition and 6,000 s.f. remodel to the existing 22,600 s.f. K-8 school south of Pekin, IL. The new building is pre-engineered steel with metal siding and standing seam roof to match the existing school. The new building includes a new gymnasium with coaches’ offices and locker rooms, stage, music room that doubles as a 1,700 s.f. tornado shelter, science room, art room, technology center, six other classrooms, new kitchen, new administration area, and more. Site work on the 36.5 acre site included a new 8-lane bituminous asphalt track, discus area, shot putt area, high jump area, long jump area, baseball field, second water well, second septic system and seepage field, additional parking, and landscaping . Remodel of three class rooms and old gym area was part of this work. Construction started October of 2003 and was complete for fall classes of 2004.

Project Manager—Dan O’Connell Completed 2005 Jr./Sr. High: New construction of 42,600 s.f. and renovation of 7,500 s.f. includes a new multi-purpose gym and cafeteria area, stage, art and kiln rooms, (2) computer labs, science lab, (2) science class rooms, distance learning center, media center, technology room, (12) other classrooms, new kitchen, new administration area, multiple storage areas, rest rooms, teachers workroom, stair tower and elevator, renovation of several existing classrooms, and more. Remodel of some 7,500 s.f. of the 62,600 s.f. of existing Jr./Sr. High allowed for the demolition of 31,100 s.f. of the oldest portion of the existing Jr./Sr. High. Sitework at the Jr./Sr. high involved new parking lots, storm and sanitary sewer improvements, and landscaping.
Elementary School: Additions included 6,580 s.f. for four classrooms, new rest rooms, storage, and addition to the cafeteria. Elementary School site improvements included new sidewalks, expansion of the playground area, and renovations to storm sewer and retention areas. |

Project Manager—Dan O’Connell Completed 2003 Phased construction started with a new 1,700 s.f. library and computer lab where the former cafeteria and teachers lounge were located. This work was started over the summer of 2003 and finished on time for fall classes. The next phase involved the 10,000 s.f. new commons area, band storage expansion, and kitchen addition. The final phase was the completion of new site improvements including new parking lots, storm sewer retention, future building pad preparation that allows for safer traffic flow and commuter circulation. |
